Optimizing Social Media Webpage Strategy Through Research and Analysis

Collapse/Expand

During my time as a Marketing and Social Media Assistant at Ferris State University, I was tasked with evaluating the university’s social media directory webpage and identifying opportunities for improvement. I conducted a thorough analysis of similar webpages from other universities, focusing on user experience, design, functionality, and how effectively they connected users to their social media platforms. By comparing Ferris State’s webpage to those of peer institutions, I identified areas where the university could enhance its digital presence.

My recommendations included streamlining navigation to make it easier for users to find and engage with social media links, improving visual design to align with modern web standards, and incorporating dynamic elements like embedded feeds or call-to-action buttons to drive higher engagement. I presented these insights to university stakeholders, supported by clear examples and actionable steps. This project highlighted my ability to analyze digital platforms, think critically about user experience, and propose data-driven solutions that align with broader marketing goals. By focusing on improving the social media directory webpage, I helped lay the groundwork for a more cohesive and engaging online presence for Ferris State University.
